  • channls

    (Instrumental Post-Rock · Philly)

channls doesn’t need a singer to tell you how to feel. The songs do that on their own. One minute you’re in your head staring at the ceiling, the next you’re ready to throw a chair through it. It’s the kind of music that hits you where words usually fail. For channls, silence isn’t an omission, its liberation.

Rooted in post-rock but unafraid of distortion-drenched aggression, channls lives in the liminal space between beauty and brutality. Think Russian Circles with the brashness of The Jesus Lizard, or Tool and boiled down to their rawest musical nerve. This is not post-rock to fall asleep to. This is a score for whatever storm you’re weathering. They’ve supported bands like Stinking Lizaveta and Bask.

  • Memory Entry

    (Post-Hardcore · NYC)

“Our World Is Going To Disappear” is the debut EP from the trio, Memory Entry. The band began in early 2020 when the three original members got together for an impromptu jam session. They carved out the beginning of what would become the song “Crawler” and parted ways, not realizing they wouldn’t step foot into the practice space again for another 19 months due to the world wide pandemic.

The story of the EP is the story of the band. Starting out simply and lamenting everyday heartbreak, but then slowly awakening, expanding our sonic palette, experimenting with different sounds and vocalizations, finding our identity, getting to know each other and realizing that there’s much more out there to discover, in this world, or another world. The final result is a sonic journey into parts unknown, combining elements of hardcore, noisecore, post hardcore and classic screamo. They’ve supported bands like Portraits of Past and Idle Heirs.

Aggressive but not without moments of melody and beauty, Memory Entry are set to take their place in the world of music with the release of “Our World Is Going To Disappear.”
